Located on the ground floor of 1 Farrer Place Sydney, these bathroom facilities provide the new public amenity for the hospitality tenancies within the towers and the adjacent heritage terraces.

The concept was developed to reflect the solid materiality, planar forms and rigorous corporate atmosphere of the existing towers. We selected metals in black and deep shades of bronze, dense granites of blue and red and through these materials developed a palette of angular details with a reference to the late 1990’s rationalist period.

The site was constrained by extremely low ceiling heights, which led us to design a dynamic louvered ceiling with indirect lighting to bring drama to an otherwise compressed space.
