Located in the basement of an historic bank building, 110-year-old decaying bank vaults were transformed into functional and luxurious contemporary corporate offices for Paspaley Pearls. The poetic concept underpins the design – just as the diver descends the ocean in search of pearls, this project was about the descent into an underground basement to uncover the jewel of the space. Used for VIP inspection of the pearls, the space features steel-framed screens, luxurious carpets and theatrical lighting. Combined, all the elements add drama to the space whilst celebrating the historical charm of the building and the beauty of the Paspaley jewellery.
