Land of the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation
Felix Forest
Constructed in the 1890’s, this building required a reworking of the floor plan and rationalising of space to meet the modern needs of a young family of four. The new design is a subtle evolution/development of the building’s original character without sacrificing the classic charming elements. In an embrace of the awkward triangular floor plan, the design introduces new elements; a glass vestibule defines the entrance from the living space; a garden terrace injects natural light; and the built-in leather banquette and oak kitchen table create a central hub for the family to gather.
