The ground floor lobby at 255 George Street has been re-imagined to include a series of mixed use working environments.

Inviting on a human scale, warmth has been achieved through textural depth, chunky detailing and bright tonal material selections. This works to both complement and contrast the austere and heavy set details of the original 1980s building.

Terrazzo slabs were formed by recycling the Calacutta marble which was stripped out from the upper level tenancies of the building. These were utilised to form the concierge desk, bar bench tops and the kitchenette.

Sourced predominantly from Australian and New Zealand designers, the selection of textiles, loose furniture and styling items add a final layer of colour, texture and familiarity to the lobby.
