Jacksons on George

The redeveloped Jacksons on George welcomes a new era for this iconic Sydney site. By taking cues from the venue’s history we sought to evoke a sense of familiarity to all of the spaces through the fusion of elegant and raw detailing.

We integrated a number of commissioned artworks by Australian artists to create energetic and unexpected moments. The artists include award-winning Yankunytjatjara artist Kaylene Whiskey, Marty Baptist, Ben Mccready, Cracked Suzies and decorative lighting practice Volker Haug. The result is a fusion of hospitality, design and art all inspired by the characters, humour, stories and memories of Sydney pubs while looking to the future of what an urban Australian pub might be.
